The boso ABI system measures blood pressure in both arms and both legs simultaneously and calculates the ankle-brachial index (ABI) – the ratio of ankle to arm blood pressure. Because all four cuffs operate at the same time, the measurement takes only a few minutes, and the four values are derived from the same circulatory state.
The size depends on the measured circumference. An unsuitable cuff width is one of the known sources of error in non-invasive blood pressure measurement – in the case of the ABI, it affects both sides of the quotient.
The cuff is supplied without a hose. The hose connection is linked to the measuring point and is selected accordingly: red for the right upper arm, yellow for the left, black for the right leg, green for the left.
This is the smallest arm cuff in the range – the choice for narrow upper arms.
